Sensory Integration Training

Sensory Integration Training

SenSI Workshop LogoWe are running a parent and carer workshop on Thursday 26th March 2015. We recognise how complex sensory integration, sensory processing and sensory attachment is, and want to give an opportunity for parents and carers to ask us questions and explore these areas further.

This workshop will be practical yet theoretical, exploring some of the science behind the play. We will explain some of the activities we use within sessions, to help make sense of what we do.

We believe “see motor…think sensory” and we will explore this with you all.

There will be a chance to meet the extended team, including the OT Assistants, new Therapists Moira and Heidi, and Holistic Therapist Fran.

There will be opportunity for you to see our new products, and borrow some equipment and books from our ‘library’.

Please contact us should you wish to attend this workshop evening.

Sensory Attachment Intervention

Sensory Attachment Intervention – Just Right State Programme for Adolescents and Adults

Claire and Annie are trained in JRS programme and assess a young person or adult’s response to stress and consider the impact on the autonomic nervous system.  The treatment approach uses sensory activities and food for regulation, and co-regulation.  It enables the individual to self regulate, consider their sensory needs and provides strategies for self nurture.   This is either facilitated in a group setting or an individual basis

Specialist Advisors to ROMPA

Specialist Advisors to ROMPA

SenSI are very excited to announce that we are working closely with Rompa, and acting as their Specialist Advisors in Autism and Sensory Integration. We feature in their new brochure 2015!

We have been meeting with Rompa over the past year, helping them design new products, and new packages of equipment, such as the Oral Motor Package.

SenSI have also been product testing, and have had some brilliant volunteers who have put the equipment to the test, and allowed us to take videos and photos on the equipment – thank you to all involved! You will see these throughout the year on Rompa website, Twitter and Facebook.

Should you have any questions as to any Rompa products, please ask away. Also, should you have any comments as to any of Rompa Sensory Integration equipment, please let us know.

senSI Case Studies Published on Sensory Integration Network

Sensory Integration Network
Annie and Emma are pleased to be working with the Sensory Integration Network and have recently contributed 2 case study posters to help with the awareness of The effectiveness of Sensory Integration Treatments. Emma has also put together a case study to critically explore the complexities of the overlapping disorders of hypermobility and anxiety in the Developmental Co-ordination Disorder (DCD) population. Both posters can be found on the Sensory Integration Network website here and are free to download and distribute. The documents are designed to be informative and easy to read. If you do have any questions please contact us directly and we will be pleased to help you with any matters relating to Sensory Integration Therapies.  Direct links to the posters can be found below, these are external links so do take a few moments to load and display the information from the Sensory Integration Network website :-
